If you are running Excel 2003, choose Excel menu Tools > Validation. If you are running Excel 2007, Excel 2010 or Excel 2013, on the Data tab, in the Data Tools group, click Data Validation. We don't lock the database so if you are a power user who want to customize the invoicing application deeply, you are free to do so on the database level too. Access database is only used as a data storage. Invoice Manager for Excel itself uses Excel spreadsheet templates as the front-end. Each invoice template published here on comes with an Access database with the template# as the database file name. Invoice Manager for Excel, by default uses local (desktop) Access database. However with Office 365, the Access data is stored in a SQL database. On Windows desktop the database file is stored in ".mdb" or ".accdb" format.
